Mod Twins, London, 1978, photo Janette Beckman.

The Mod twins, Chuka and Dubem, aka The Islington Twins, were a fixture around the streets of Islington. They always dressed in identical high style and would hang out at the entrance to the Highbury and Islington tube station entertaining travelers with the latest ska and reggae music from their boom box. They also danced onstage with Madness. This photo was published in the first issue of The Face Magazine and they became London style icons
