Runaways, LA 1976.

Back in 1977 I had to carry two cameras with me at all times. One was not enough. I needed one for color film and the other for black and white. Very few of the magazines and newspapers printed in color so black and white was the most popular. One of the exceptions was the Japanese, they demanded color photos. This was the first photo session of The Runaways minus Cherie and Jackie. Joan was in full control and I was there front and center at their Roxy sound check!

This photo is a rare outtake from that session I did with Joan Jett and Sandy West from The Runaways on Santa Monica pier when they order and consumed french fries. The session was from 1977 and the french fries were so amazing. I am not sure if it was the light, our youth or the french fries, but it was all so cosmic. Feel free to reblog the shit out of this one! I am searching for more.
